About Vivian Valenty
Attractive, energetic and refined, Dr. Vivian Valenty in many ways is what you would expect to find when meeting the CEO of a cosmetic company. At age 60, a wife of 35 years and a mother of two, she claims her youthful beauty is the result of using the products she has created. Her secret is in the unique way she formulates her products, exploiting her extensive knowledge of the science that goes into creating skin care and other personal care products.
Vivian grew up in the Philippines under challenging conditions, but with hope and determination, she has exceeded expectations in creating her successful business. From an early age, Vivian learned that the herbs growing in her family’s garden not only provided food, but also supplied an important healing source. Family remedies passed down for generations were the basis of her earlier experiments.
Vivian studied chemistry at MapÚa Institute of Technology in Manila, where her achievements and work at the International Rice Research Institute earned her the opportunity to pursue graduate studies in the United States at the Pennsylvania State University. After earning a doctorate in chemistry, Vivian taught at Skidmore College, performed research for the New York State Department of Health, generated patents on products synthesized from corn, and developed new silicone-based materials for GE.
After inventing and successfully patenting the first UV curing topcoat to quickly dry freshly applied nail polish in 1990, Vivian decided to pursue her own interests and created VB Cosmetics, Inc. Her persistent research to create unique products that she is proud to put her name on has paid off. While continuing to develop and produce a broad range of private label products, VB Cosmetics has recently launched its first high quality anti-aging product line under the brand Abrioné. Abrioné’s Anti-Aging Skin Care Ambrosia is composed of a group of products that, when used consistently, creates youthful looking skin.
Vivian is a walking testimonial to the effectiveness of these products and the successful application of hard work, perseverance, focus and determination.
